KHA 0-3 to open October, off to Fraser Valley following Thanksgivng

It was a rough start to October for Kootenay Hockey Academy at the club's first JPHL Showcase of the month in Greater Edmonton.

On Friday, October 4, KHA took an 8-3 loss versus Coquitlam.

The Academy's Blaine Nelson led the attack with a pair of goals while Wyatt Borys opened the scoring in the first period.

The next day, Island HC picked up a 7-1 over KHA.

The Kootenay team's lone goal came from Aiden Stefano.

The final game on Sunday, October 6, ended in a 9-2 loss to Langley.

KHA was outshot 52-12.

The team will look to play its way into the win column with a trio of games on deck this week in the Fraser Valley at a JPHL Showcase event being held in conjunction with the ongoing BCHL Showcase.
