The Kootenay Hockey Academy ran into some stiff competition through their recent JPHL Showcase in Alberta February 1-4.
KHA got started on the wrong foot, falling 15-3 to Edmonton. KHA's goals came from Adam Milke, Kaelen Cross and Nick Vopat.
Up next for the academy was Coquitlam on February 2, KHA suffered an 8-1 loss. The Kootenay squad's lone goal came from Avery Lynch.
The Kootenay boys were up against a strong Island Hockey Club on February 3 and fell 6-0, Island outshot KHA 39-14.
The showcase came to an end on February 4 in a close 4-1 loss to Langley, Soren Nicol scored the lone goal for KHA and goalie Jaxon Loewen stopped 62 of the 66 shots he faced.
The final regular season JPHL Showcase for KHA is happening in Calgary February 9-11.
