The Kootenay Hockey Academy program continues to make progress in it's initial JPHL season.
The club had a tough start to last weekend's showcase event in a 6-1 loss to the Lloydminster Athletics, Kootenay's lone goal came in the third period via Soren Nicol.
The Kootenay boys had a better showing versus Lethbridge United on Saturday.
United managed to wrangle a 3-1 win over KHA, Curtis Cawte netted a third period goal to break Lethbridge's shutout bid, while the Academy squad outshot their Alberta counterparts 9-6 in the second period.
KHA's offence began to find its legs in Sunday's clash with the Calgary Rockies.
Three KHA skaters picked left with multi-point games in the 8-3 loss to Calgary.
The Kootenay Hockey Academy's next JPHL Showcase is happening in Spruce Grove November 10-12.
