KHA takes talents to west coast for first Showcase of 2024

The Kootenay Hockey Academy's first JPHL Showcase event of 2024 at Delta's Planet Ice produced some new opponents for the local club.

KHA had a busy week, with four games in as many days - starting January 4 with a 6-2 loss to Island Hockey Club.

Cranbrook's Kaelen Cross and Avery Lynch picked up KHA's goals.

On January 5, KHA rebounded for a 5-2 win over Langley.

Danick Reeves and Dennon Melnyk each had two goals to lead KHA to victory.

KHA was back on the ice January 6, this time taking a 6-1 loss to Okanagan Hockey Club, Louis Prystupa had KHA's lone goal.

The showcase came to an end January 7 with KHA falling 5-2 to Lethbridge United, Reeves and Adam Milke proved the goals for the academy in the losing effort.

It won't be too long of a wait for the next showcase for KHA, they're back on the ice in Morinville January 12-14
